18th Annual Manayunk Arts Festival 2007 aka Booze Scape?

The Manayunk Arts Festival held in Manayunk, a cool little hamlet in Philadelphia PA. If Artscape in Baltimore is known as Foodscape or even Beerscape, I think the name Boozescape would apply for this festival.

The crowds on Sunday were huge!!! As usual some art vendors did well as some not so well. It always comes down to having the right stuff at the right time at the right place. These crowds unlike Artscape in Baltimore seem to be more family oriented. With that said, I think the organizers for the Manayunk Festival need to rethink who should be sponsoring their event and maybe cut down on the hard liquor exhibits. This is suppose to be a family event, but you have beer, vodka etc, right on the main drag, there's nothing wrong with that but is all of it really needed. I like Amstel Light and Vodka as much and probably more than the next average Joe, but come on, the Artguy knows when it's a bit too much...

Other than the too many beer and booze things, the Manayunk Arts Festval always gets a big big thumbs up!!!
