Hon Festival 2006, Baltimore, MD on the Avenue
This is the Hon Fest in Hampden, a small but cool artsy area in Baltimore City.
Held during JUNE of each year. This was a SUPER festival for the studio, if the Artguy wasn't so tired, the studio probably would have done 3 times the sales volume, it was that impressive and busy... but as a caveat, I don't know if being a vendor is worth it. Seems like there very few Arts type, more just regular retailers etc etc etc. Also, I think the Stage could have been better managed, getting by the stage was nearly impossible with many just rudely pushing their way through the crowd. BUT, how can those crazy but surprisingly attractive Hon Organizers let beer vendors sell 'Bud' and 'Bud Light' for $4 a pop! Simply outrageous and unacceptable to us real beer drinkers, almost a slap in the face.
The crowds were very large and diverse. As always, if you came with the right stuff, failure was not an option.
Hey man, I'm just trying to get some text out... see you next time. FYI - Photos were taken using my new Canon A620, just a great little camera that is one of the highest rated in its class! BTW - we can probably thank Baltimore native and film Director John Waters' and his movie 'Pink Flamingos' for the Hon Fest Style.
Don't forget to visit the Studio for the latest happenings in Hampden...
